BEFORE YOU GO

1.  Look at the weather forecast and adjust plans accordingly
2.  Everyone should feel well and be ready for the hike.
3.  Anyone not feeling well should postpone their hike.

BALANCE FOOD AND WATER INTAKE

1.  Eat plenty of salty foods.
2.  Drink water throughout the day.
3.  Do not wait until you feel thirsty before you drink.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY 

1.  Use poles to lessen the impact of knees and ankles.
2.  Wash your hands to prevent illnesses.
